Is Madonna's Israeli manager the next American Idol judge?
Guy Oseary reportedly at top of the list to replace Simon Cowell on hit show.
By Haaretz Service Tags: Israel newsIsraeli entertainment mogul Guy Oseary is the current frontrunner in the race to replace American Idol judge Simon Cowell, multiple media outlets reported Wednesday.
Oseary, Madonna's close friend and business partner, is said to be competing with Howard Stern, Jamie Foxx and former Sony music boss Tommy Mottola for the job.
"Guy has been in the music business since Madonna discovered him when he was 17, and he has a lot of the same experience as Simon," a Fox insider told The Daily Mail.
The source added that while other candidates have been mentioned as Cowell's possible successors, Oseary is the top choice.
Jerusalem-born Oseary has made several guest appearances in TV and films such as blockbusters Charlie's Angels and You Don't Mess With the Zohan, and has also authored four books including Jews Who Rock, about Jews in the music industry.

He may be a good business man, but the times I've heard him speak on TV it was like a sleeping tablet. He's a bad choice.
Thank God, Baruch Hashem, being an Israeli is not the same as being a metaphysical, i.e. spiritual Israelite and a Hebrew. Guy is Madonna's Golden Calf worshipping Mind Controller and Handler, not a "Manager." Thank God, Baruch Hashem, this five sense illusion of the physical Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is coming to an end to be replaced by (y)our forever -awaited Tree of Life reality of nothing but Tov, Go(o)d. Shalom to all.
Cowell's paternal grandparents, Joseph Cowell and Esther Malinsky, were English Jews,
Never heard of the other guy.
