Iran's envoy to Portugal questions Holocaust on radio show

Tells radio station it would have taken Nazis 15 years to burn the corpses of 6 million people.

Iran's ambassador to Portugal told a Portuguese radio interviewer it would have taken the Nazis 15 years to burn the corpses of 6 million people, a remark reflecting the denials of the Holocaust made by his president.

"When I was ambassador in Warsaw, I visited Auschwitz and Birkenau twice and made my calculations," ambassador Mohammed Taheri said in an interview with Portuguese state radio RTP on Tuesday.

"To incinerate 6 million people, 15 years would be necessary," he said.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad has repeatedly denied that the Holocaust, the Nazis' killing of 6 million Jews during World War Two, took place. He has also called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."

More than 1.5 million people, mostly Jews, died at Auschwitz-Birkenau, a death camp set up by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland.

"When our president wants to talk about the Holocaust with historians and scientists, the whole world is against him," Taheri said, referring to plans by Ahmedinejad to organize an academic conference on what happened in the Holocaust.

"Historians need to get together to give their opinions," the envoy added.

Taheri said the publication by European newspapers of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed, outraging many Muslims and provoking widespread protests, was an Israeli conspiracy designed to cause conflict between Muslims and Christians.

"We think that this is a conspiracy by Zionists who want to put Muslims against Christians in Europe," he said.

Iran's best-selling newspaper, Hamshahri, has responded to the Muslim outrage over published cartoons of the Prophet by organizing a competition for cartoons about the Holocaust, saying it is a test of the West's vaunted freedom of speech.

I guess that's just the difference between the Germans and the Mullah-ridden Iranians. It probably would take the Iranians 15 years to burn all those corpses in their furnaces. That is if their furnaces work about as well as their historians.

    Q. Who said 6 million were incinerated? A. Murdered is the word usually used. Lots of scope there. Q. Who said it was the Nazis who incinerated those that were? A. They had slaves for that - their slaves' confiscated belongings bought the equipment they operated. And there's that poor Iranian Ambassador Taheri calculator in hand, scratching his head for hours because he didn't read the memo properly. I wonder how they work things out at the nuclear plant.

The 'calculations' of this Islamofascist forgot to figure into the calculations of the minor detail of millions of Jews killed in Majdanek, Treblinka, Sobibor, Bergen Belsen, Mauthausen, Dachau, Buchenwald, Belzec, Sachsenhausen, Ravensbruk, Mogilev, Chelmno, and a plethora of other camps, not to mention the hundreds of thousands who perished in on-the-spot shootings in the ghettos. One wonders if these guys are really intelligent enough to be real Holocaust deniers, or are just plain stupid.

It seems to me that the Iranians started to take their propaganda to Europe to put Christians against Jews. Unfortunately they have a significant number of followers especially in Great Britain and Scandinavian countries.

Based on comments by Iranian reps , we could learn that they actually conducted studies on the time eradication efficiencies. Very strange , but it looks like either they are preparing for something or maybe they conducted such studies on their own people. Sure enough , it does not take very long to eradicate Iranian governments stupidity . Just show them couple of cartoons --they will understand very quickly how stupid they all are.

Let's see, he is calculating that the nazis could incinerate only 400,000 people per year... How does he figure that? Did his government try?? I have an idea for the next "Zionist conspiracy" -- why don't we all go around denying that the Shah did anything bad. Hey, we know that the number of people he killed was at least 11 million less than the Nazis. If the Nazis didn't murder any...

Has the world changed? We Jews get blamed for everything. Those who harm the Jews throughout history have gotten themselves burnt. It usually comes from completely unexpected places and not from the Jews.
