Report: Suspect in Dubai Hamas assassination arrested in Canada
Detainee connected to another main suspect who was caught on surveillance footage with Hamas official Mabhouh inside an elevator in the hotel where he was killed, according to UAE newspaper.

The Al-Itihad daily quoted the head of the Dubai police force, Dahi Khalfan Tamim, as saying that the detainee is connected to another main suspect, who was caught on surveillance footage with al- Mabhouh inside an elevator.

A week earlier, Tamim - who is in charge of the investigation into the January murder - had announced that the suspect was arrested in a "Western" state, without naming the country.
Dubai authorities have used closed-circuit television footage to identify suspects in the killing. They say the assassination was most probably carried out by a large hit squad from Mossad, Israel's intelligence agency.
The murder of the Hamas official sparked international outrage, as citizens from several nations - including Germany, Ireland and France - had their identities stolen by the perpetrators, who traveled to the UAE to carry out the murder.
In June, suspected Israeli intelligence agent Uri Brodsky was arrested in the Polish capital Warsaw on a German arrest warrant for alleged involvement in passport fraud in relation to the case.
Brodsky, the first individual arrested in connection with the killing, was extradited to Germany and released on bail in August.

The UAE has prevented (blackmailed) Canada from using an air force base because it would not cave into pressure to increase landing rights in Canada for UAE passenger jets. UAE also forced RIM to surrender control over their Blackberry network to the Islamic royal family (dictatorship) of the UAE. The UAE government should be assisting in the war against Hamas and other terrorists unless it wants to become a suberb of Iran as it once was threatened (along with Kuwait) by Iraq into becoming part of Saddam's fascist regime before the US saved them from that fate. I have monitored the news casts all day long and have not hearda peep about a suspect being arrested for the Dubai assasination. The CBC boradcast corporation which has no love for Israel has not put any statement out.

Mahmoud al-Mabhouh is also innocent until proven guilty. At least the detainee will have a civilian trial with rights to an attorney, etc. But Israel did not have the decency to provide these to Mabhouh.

Don't compare bin Laden to anyone in Hamas. Hamas have a legitimate cause spurred by decades of living under brutal occupation. So the splendid Dubai police is unhelpful in finding crooks but has all the videos and info against those allegedly trying to eliminate a Hamas goon.

There is obviously an international arrest warrant out for who ever this is, and Canada is a signatory to that agreement. Its called being a civilized country.
