Iran vows to fight Western ideology in classrooms
Although Iran had pledged to install religious teachers in classrooms in the past, this appears to be the first concrete step in a wider drive to put more religion in education.
By The Associated Press Tags: Iran Israel news Mahmoud AhmadinejadThe Iranian government declared Sunday that it would send hundreds of clerics into Tehran's schools this fall to fight Western influence and the domestic opposition.
Some 1,000 clerics acting as "officers in an ideological war" would make students aware of "opposition plots and arrogance," Mohammed Boniadi, deputy director of the Tehran education department, told local newspapers.

Although Iran had pledged to install religious teachers in classrooms in the past, this appears to be the first concrete step in a wider drive to put more religion in education.
Deploying clerics in classrooms is widely seen as a reaction to last year's disputed presidential elections in which many Iranian youth flocked to the opposition and to demonstrations that turned into a series of violent confrontations.

Ahmedeinjaad is an Academic and I am surprised he is forcing religious hog wash to Iranians. An after thought, I realized , Religion is the biggest tool in the world to fool common people.
That way more of Iran's bright youth will be suckered into sacrificing their valuable bodies and spirits for the cause of the exclusive Pirates of the Persian Gulf who look after none other than themselves and their militant agenda.
And here in Israel there are those who actually do this (the "unrecognised" religious schools) and receive the taxpayers' money to fund thier distorted view of democracy too. There are also certain MKs who would skew school curiculae to do likewise.
It is truly incomprehensible that "many" Iranians belive that Religion should literally dominate all aspects of life - especially when they have the examples of the US, the EU and Israel itself that a generally secular attitude serves the country best!
Yes !! Get the children to read the Koran and find out that there is something terribly wrong with their government. Ha Ha Ha
Zionist Jewz have embraced western culture only to acquire their technologies. By no means have they abandoned their brand of religious ignorance. Now Jewz use such technology militarily to oppress Arabs and Muslims. Jewz should not criticize their religious extremist contemporaries for turning their backs to western culture. Think of what would happen if the Muslim world had access to all the technology that Israel has, including its military applications. Jewish Israeli expansionism might start moving to the west instead of the east. The American jewish controlled media has spent millions of dollars and millions of hours of effort to ensure that their Arab victims always consider the west as an enemy and never get the knowledge they need to truly defend themselves. As a Zionist supporter and Jew, you should be glad of this. Arabs are no different than any other humans and despite what your jewish grandparents have told you, neither are you. You’re not smarter or special. Time will pass, generations will change, and someday the Iranians will be viewed by American youth as the victims they truly are. As a jew, you should be concerned about what the next few generations of gentile Americans will think of you.
President Ahmadinejad’s obnoxious government is becoming more obnoxious! They are going to push religion down everybody’s throat until every Iranian on the planet becomes nauseated. No wonder, people living in Iran are less religious than they were thirty years ago! They are fed up with it! According to Distinguished Professor Richard Frye, Internationally well known Iranologist, the regime in Tehran represents the Second Arab Invasion of Persia by the Arabs. I agree with him. I am also sure many of you will not question his conclusion! What Iranian people believe is very different than what their obnoxious regime preaches. Mullahs in the classrooms won’t make any difference!
Yes it is not good at all....Priests, Mullah´s, and Rabbies, should be banned from all classrooms. But 1000 Mullah´s in Iran is surely not as bad as the Haredi schools, in Israel, that do not even teach the basic stuff, math, physics etc...?
The only non-jewish friends Israel has in the U.S. are the one they have purchased in the Senate, Congress, and White House, and some other religious extremist.
