Speaking in a Tehran press conference, Iranian President says Western plot would not be able to 'save Israel from extinction.'
By Haaretz Service Tags: Israel news Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Libya JordanThe United States is leading an effort to annex a part of Jordan to the West Bank, thus enlarging the future Palestinians state, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in a press conference on Monday, adding that the alleged move was meant to protect Israel's security.
Speaking in a Tehran press conference on Monday, Ahmadinejad claimed the latest conflicts in the Arab world would eventually lead to the collapse of Israel, saying: "The latest conflicts will leave no chance for the Zionist regime [Israel] to survive as all the involved countries are against the occupation of Palestine."

He added that the Arab states should be careful not to rely on the United States and its allies, "as their ultimate aim is to save" Israel.
Later Monday, Ahmadinejad was quoted by the Iranian Mehr news agency as saying that a Western plot was in motion to divide Jordan, geared at saving "the Zionist regime from annihilation and tell the world that an independent state of Palestine has been formed"
However, the Iranian president added, these "attempts will not save Israel from extinction."
Ahmadinejad also referred to the Western military intervention in Libya, quoted by IRNA as saying that "NATO and the United States made a big stupidity by invading Libya because by doing so they have carried insecurity to their own borders."
"But how can they be sure that insecurity would not penetrate into the regions inside their territories?," the Iranian president asked, adding that the people of the Middle East "will not spread the red carpet under their feet just because on pretext of toppling the Libyan government they have got engaged in a military invasion in that country and have even entered a region whose people have a long record of heavy combat against the colonialists."

The Palestinians are 80% of Jordan's population. They already have a country! Jordan's land mass IS their acient homeland and Israel's was all the land West of the river Jordan. Better lay off Israel. Remember the words of God through the Prophet: "I will bless those that bless you (Israel), and curse those that curse you".
for you and for every one thinks like you. The Palestinians were in Palestine , between the River and the Sea, thousands of years before Abraham put a foot on Palestinian Land.Their ancestors were the ones who built everything including Jerusalem.
Ahmadinedjad talks about the destruction of the State Of Israel and continues to seek nuclear capability. He rattles his saber and threatens the west. WHO is fooled by this fool?
Must be the Hasshasins are making a come back in Iran.
"The United States is leading an effort to annex a part of Jordan to the West Bank, thus enlarging the future Palestinians state" ASnother good idea would be to give a small part of Negev to Egypt and Egypt a small part of Egyptian Rafah to enlarge Gaza. Borders could be redraw, nothing happens. Palestinian terrorism cannot be changed instead.
No wonder UN has posed sanctions on Iran. People you must be aware that this guy is so vigorous in attacking Israel, I believe UN should first attack Iran and oust Iranian President for his hatred towards humanity. he is the real terrorist. Accroding to Bible the opposite is going to happen if he tries to attack Israel, God chosen nation.
NO MATTER HOW BIZARRE OR OUTLANDISH HIS NON STOP SPEWING OF NONSENSICAL MORONIC IDEAS, HE JUST KEEPS GRABBING FOR ANY MICROPHONE. HE REMINDS ONE OF THE MOSQUITO WHO HAS NO STINGER, JUST AN ANNOYING BUZZ IN THE EAR. one good slap and he's gone.
israel refuse... 1.stop illegal settlement 2. stop illegal blockade 3. stop illigit occupation 4. stop warmongering against Iran, Syria, Lebanon 5. a 2 state solution 6. a binational state 7. to expose their illegal nuclear weapons a occupying regime have nothing to do in our society and must vanish.
1. To recognize our right to exist (thats a big one) no need to really list any more...this sums it all up. 2. JORDAN AND EGYPT TOOK MORE LAND FROM PALS THE ANYONE ELSE!
Calm down both of you, you will burst a blood vessell!! All your ranting and anguish has achieve nothing. Why do you write to a Zionist paper, you'll get no sympathy there, write instead to the Iranian press or the Syrian press, What did I hear you answer?? did you say they wont print your letters, what a shame, there is no fair treatment in this world
Maybe stop thinking, sometimes it is dangerous!
looks like somebody is feeling a little insecure by accusations for which there are no justification
Israel and Israelis are a emocracy a tiny one at that why not concentrate on the real problem countrys of this world.
I dont think sanctions will work to pressure Iran to forgo its nuclear weapons program. There isn't enough time left for them to work.
Sanctions won't work - if 1950's Soviet Russia, and isolated bacward North Korea (they don't even have lights on in the capital after dark) can both build nukes, how hard can it be? I'm sure that moder day Iran, with it's oil money, and methods of evading sanctions can build them without too much trouble (even barring the odd STUNTEX...) Not that I want them to have them, it's just that they will, and the world will have to live with it.
Jordan is where many Palestinians came from in 1967. They tried to "overthrow" the Monarchy and were forced into the West Bank. A similar event happened in Gaza.
third largest nuclear arsenal in the world and on of the most powerful militaries. Not that I advocate for the use of any weapons, especially not atomic bombs, but my sense is that if pushed far enough Israel would retaliate with all its military might. Iran is all talk. Even if they build a nuclear weapon, Israel can blow Iran off the map a hundred times over with its stockpile. Again, not that I advocate it, but I can see it happening if it is cornered. You notice that no one messes with North Korea.......
you calling anyone an evil little creature Adam? the same person who suggests Israel launch nukes at any country that gives it a problem. You want to see "an evil little creature" look in the mirror. and I'm not defending Ahmadinejad, he could benefit from time in a mental institution, What I do wonder is what the zionists are going to do when their Iranian cartoon villian is out of office.
On 24 November 2010, Mick Davis, chairman of the U.K. Jewish community and executive of the Jewish Leadership Council, publicly criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the waning peace talks at the London Jewish Cultural Center speech before 160 attendees, he stated: "Israel could become an apartheid state unless there was a two-state solution with the Palestinians, "because we then have the majority going to be governed by the minority". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_and_the_apartheid_analogy
I hate that man, but he's got a point about the collapse of Israel. The Crusader Kingdoms once ruled Jerusalem, and the lands from Syria to Lebannon, but they collapsed and fell after less than 200 years. Unless Israel does something dramatic to sort it's democraphic nightmare it too will collapse. The Arab population is growing, and by 2020 will form a majority, leaving 4 options: 1) One State, all equal, all can vote. 2) Two-Three States, Israel, WB & Gaza 3) Apartheid State and global pariah 4) Ethnic Cleansing to remove all Arabs. Israel must chose one of these soon, and options 1, 3 & 4 will mean the end of the Jewish State.
Indeed, the crusader kingdoms lasted an ampel 200 years. And after that there were other kingdoms who did not live much longer. There was no continueing Arab ruling kingdoms in that area. The longest lasted the Ottoman Empire. So maybe Israel disapears as an sole Yewish state entity. Is that bad?! Not when in this land there will be room for Yews to live and wordk and worship etc. Thats is exactly what most of the Arab world and the king of Persia seem to not want.,
Personally I think Ahmadinejad is a nutter (and a dictator) who lies and makes up anything he thinks will sound dramatic. If he can kept the Iranian people distracted by Israel, perhaps he can stay in power. However, some people, on this very site have insisted that all the Pals be dumped in Jordan, or said that "most of Jordan is Palestinian anyway" when really they're only 8% of the popualtion. So there is a grain of truth in Ahmadinejad's rants, as some in Israel certaily would love to push all the Arabs into Jordan, to solve the presssing demographic problem.
It's Nick Clegg who runs the Liberal Party, not Smith. Although I did check and I was wrong - of the 6,300,000 people in Jordan the BBC, US State Departments and the UNRWA indicates that as many as 1,051,603 persons are registered as Palestinian refugees, so it's 20% not 8%. Still doesn't mean you can shove 5 Million Pals into Jordan. That's called Ethnic Cleansing, and you should see what happened to Serbia when it tried that.
72% have Jordanian pass but are banned fro higher offices in the Goverment or mlitary or even from the Jordanian Parlament .In Israeli Knesset there are more pals than in Jordanian Parlament.
Jordan has plenty of territory that is either sparsely inhabited or uninhabited. Ceding part of their territory to add to the West Bank would provide the new Palestinian state sufficient land and resources. Bravo Jordan.
Stolen? Theirs? Since when? From who was it stolen in the first place.
Seems that the Arabs are dying for democracy FROM their own 'leaders'. No wonder so many want Israel, it's the only democracy in the ME, problem is, Israel is taken by her natural and original owners, the Jews.
Pretty much is a Palestinian state it has been from the beginning. Something like 60% of citizens claim Palestinian background. So what is new?
Now that the cat is out of the bag the world will be watching you America. No shenanigans!!!
Indivisible unless the Jordanians say otherwise.
So was Serbia and it was divided against the will of majority
I actually respect him in a way. He is open and honest about the destruction of Israel. He does not lie or play with words or have one speech in Farsi and another in English. He just says it like he sees it and everyone knows where they stand. Unlike many Haraatz posters like Natallie, Tony and Logicos. Funny how you can have more respect for a dictator than the pretenders.
Time has come for MAD -mahmaud Ahmadinejad, let him live Israel along and face his country people
Michele Bachmann, Glenn beck and Donald trump - COMBINED. Where does this stuff come from?
I thought the same thing about a week ago, all of these 'protests' were nothing but a dice roll by the west to shake up the odds in the middle east. Seems like the game the west has been playing to placate things has come to an end game of sorts and instead of facing defeat they sow havoc...
Preparing for a war against Saudiarabia? Ahmadinejad is under a lot of pressure, and it is hard for him (and for many others, including many europeans) to realize that the Middle East is full of complex problems and changing interests that have nothing to do with (the fight against) Israel. So he is trying to invoke old-school hatred and casus belli. I say - relax Mahmoud. The zionist regime of Israel will prevail, but the islamic regime in Teheran will fall, thereby paving the way for a good relationship between the peoples of Israel and Iran.
Even if the greens overthrow him, the Iranian people will still hate you, and you will still hate them. My only concern is my country, America. Israel becomes more foreign to me all the time.
...iranians, I hate the islamic regime. And I disagree: there is a great peace-potential between different peoples, even between israelis/zionists and iranian/persians. Not that it will be Total Love All The Time, but peace and mutual respect is possible, just like a I respect the neighbours in our house here in Tel Aviv, but I can´t say that I love them....
I hope the regime in Iran falls, overthrown by it's own oppressed people. I'm sure it will have better relations with Israel, by it will still want to develope nuclear weapons. All (98%) Iranians believe as a matter of national pride (ancient Persian civ and all that) they should have nukes. And as the French said "No nation without the bomb could consider it's self inderpendant".
A very dubious assumption unless when back behind ‘67 borders with no EJ the Zionists are prepared to coexist with a nuclear equipped Iran.
