Israel's dependence on US is diminishing and very, very quickly. Israel's economy is one of the fastest in the world. The technological and scientific advances in today's world are much, much more important then how much natural resources you have.. China, India, Poland and so forth know how imprtant of a player Israel is.. By the way US extracts much more profit from relationship with Israel then without... It looks like no one wants to claim Ahmadinejad as theirs, not the Jews, not the Armenians, not the Kurds. One Kurd said Ahmadinejad is arabic; he must certainly be looked upon as a spoiler for those with grand plans for Kurdistan, and its western oriented people. I can only think that this disdain for Ahmadinejad means these people have other plans for their countries, their economic future, which they want to remain independent of Iran and theocracy.

I read that Ahmadinejad might be of arabic descent for those interested in whether he was maybe Jewish, Armenian, or Persian. Historically, the arabs and Persians have not gotten along, plus shiites and sunnis don't get along. There are still enough differences among them to keep them from joining as one under Iranian theocracy. However, Iran still looks like a threat since it is anti-western. Boosting trade with the west worked with China; I don't see why it wouldn't work with the Middle East.

With the amount of money and weapons Iran has pumped into the terror cell Hamas, Ahmedinajad is afraid that he will not see a return on his investment, if Abbas happens to strike a deal in Washington. The true irony is that Iranian citizens are more "occupied" than the Palestinians.
