Three couples who fled to Israel from Sudan married this week in Tel Aviv. Hundreds of Sudanese, many of them from Darfur, have fled to Israel seeking asylum and work. They make their way into the Sinai region of Egypt, and from there cross the border into Israel.
Israel refrains from returning to Egypt the refugees who made it across the joint frontier as Egypt sends them back to Sudan, where they fear execution for seeking asylum in Israel.
