IDF soldier hurt in Jordan Valley shooting-range accident
Soldier sustains wounds to neck from ricochet, taken to Tel Hashomer hospital in stable condition.
By Anshel Pfeffer and Haaretz Correpondent Tags: Israel news IDFAn Israel Defense Forces soldier was moderately wounded on Wednesday in a training accident at a Kfir Brigade recruits training camp in the Jordan Valley.
Preliminary reports revealed that the soldier had sustained wounds to his neck from a ricochet as the recruits trained in the camp's shooting range.
The wounded soldier was evacuated by helicopter to Tel Hashomer Hospital in Tel Aviv, and his condition is considered stable.
The Kfir Brigade is an infantry unit which mainly focuses on fighting terror in the West Ban. Its soldiers serve some 10 months out of the year in the West Bank.
