Israel Air Force warplanes attacked an arms manufacturing facility and two smuggling tunnels in the Gaza Strip late Wednesday, in retaliation for Palestinian rocket fire into Israel.

There were no reports from Gaza of casualties in the strikes.

On Wednesday night, Palestinian militants in Gaza fired a rocket into southern Israel. It fell on open ground without causing any injuries or damage.

Earlier this week, another rocket fired from Gaza struck the western Negev.

Approximately 55 rockets and mortar shells have been launched at Israel during the last three months, totaling more than 250 since the end of Operation Cast Lead and more than 750 in 2009, the IDF said in a statement.

Total rocket/mortar attacks in 2008....3,103 Total rocket/mortar attacks in 2009....750 Of the 750 thus far this year, the vast majority (~500) were in January during Cast Lead. "See", Mr. Lincoln, "Cast Lead worked!". Indeed, it worked beyond any reasonable expectations, so stop the lying and deception. You're just a frustrated bigot!

Before making judgement let us recall where the population of Gaza came from. Yes, they were displaced from their homes that was once Palestine and they are now beseiged, bombed and starved by the very same people who displaced them in the first place. Excpecting them to be docile is quite ignorant.
