The IDF says Allah Abu-Rov was killed during an exchange of gunfire with IDF troops.
Five of the members of the cell that Abu-Rov commanded in Jenin were arrested two weeks ago, and their arrests reportedly led to intelligence that prompted the IDF arrest raid Thursday morning.
The IDF says a search of Abu-Rov's house afterwards turned up an explosive device, firearms, a flak jacket, and ammunition.
The raid was a joint operation combining troops from the elite Duvdevan undercover unit, the Nahal Haredi infantry unit, and agents from the Shin Bet.
