IDF jeep hits, kills Palestinian teen in West Bank

I have tried to put a post on here several time about what really happened but Haaretz keeps censoring them. Is this Russia during the cold war ? I thought Israel was supposed to be a real democracy with free speech ? Shame on you Haaretz and the apologists in this talkback who would deny the truth!!!

I do not support the killing, but I do not cry when a Palestinian dies while attacking an Israeli army vehicle/soldier. We all know why the IDF patrols the West Bank. After 60 years of fighting a losing battle I think that it is about time that the Palestinians threw down their arms and started to talk. I would much prefer to see some peace in the Middle East for a change. What do you wish for?

There is nothing noble or indeed proud about illegally occupying another peoples' land at imposing your government's unlawful will on them and their children at gunpoint. No technological advances or improvements in landscape etc replaces respect for other peoples' dignity and sovereign rights. Here they go again. The Israel critics automatically assume that the IDF jeep intentinally ran down a Palastinain stone thrower. Some Israel defenders implicitly agree and imply that the Palastinian deserved what he got. You can't conclude ANY of this from the article. You can't possibly know from the article alone whether the jeep went out of control due to stone throwing or whether the IDF person deliberately targetted a Palastinain out of rage. You have no idea whether the Palastinian who died was assaulting the IDF jeep or was just a bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time. One may only ponder why a post which observed that two knee-jerk responses would appear on this forum was censored. The post postulated that many would accuse the IDF of murder, and others would blame the kid. The post went a bit further. It suggested that it might just be an accident. It seems it is acceptable to accuse the IDF of murder based upon an initial and confused report. One may always blame the Palestinians. But to suggest that there are those who don't give a hoot about any facts, or the lack of facts, but whom just spout out their cliche accusations is unacceptable. Go figure.

Of course I know the answer...the illegal settlers are throwing soft stones at the IDF which just bounce harmlessly off...

They attack Israeli vehicles everyday and if one of their people dies by because the vehicle is attempting to dodge the attack we are at fault. Sorry but the fact is that the attackers are responsible for any and all injuries and deaths as a result.
