I think the cultural level of the Jewish immigrants of the very early Alliot should be clarified. Palestine was a civilized and settled land. The Arab cities had a decent cultural level, and even further developed under the British Mandate. Good dressing, good food etc. This was threatened by the mostly pennyless immigrants. But what all sane people should ask is this; All these hundreds of Kassam rockets that have been fired into Israel - when one of them hits a school playground (or similar) and wipes out 20 kids (and this IS going to happen, it's a miracle they haven't done serious damage so far), will they be 'crimes against OUR people' too? Is not the firing of these rockets an 'attempted crime', notwithstanding the fact that it hasn't happened yet? After the Sbarro bombing, where 15 people,including 9 children were killed Hamas celebrated the attack,by showing a gory reenactment of the suicide bombing at a University in the West Bank,one of the props included a bloody babycarriage. Two years ago,after terrorist gunman killed a pregnant Jewish mom and her 4 young daughters the Palestinian media called the murderers "heroic martyrs".The town where one of the killers came from held a memorial ceremony for him where they praised what he did.

Israel bombed terrorist training camps which have no right to exist in the first place, in responce for daily aggression from Gaza. The strikes were precise and no civilian was killed, save for the son of one terrorist, for whose death his father is obviously responsible: he took his son to illegal camp of terror. Now, the Palestinians are crying and saying they will turn to the UN for condemnation. It's so cynical and disgusting on their part. Hamas cannot anymore try to deny responsibility for these almost daily Kassam attacks that provoke these severe counter attacks from Israel. Here we go again. The Palestinians launch salvos of Kassams all aimed at civilians and populated areas. Israel retaliates and some "militants" and, horribly, two children are killed. When IDF liquidates terrorists, it should make more precautions to ensure that civilians would not be killed. Also: the targetted liquidations are important and necessary, of course, but what would really stop rocket shelling from this little liberated proud terror nest Gaza is destruction of property. I believe, Israel should minimize the targetted killings, because innocents often hurt only for being in vicinity with terrorists. Instead, IDF should issue warnings, let people 24 hours to leave and then destroy entire residential areas from which the rockets are launched, and enforce no man land by artillery fire until futher notice. When two such areas are destroyed, shelling will end -- without a single civilian killed (save for those, who refused to leave -- but IDF is clearly not responsible for the death as the result of suicide).
