IAF bombs tunnel linking southern Gaza to Israel
Gaza militants fire five mortar shells into west Negev; no casualties in fresh cross-border attacks.

The IDF Spokesperson's Office said the tunnel was bombed in response to a cross-border attack Thursday in which Palestinian militants fired mortar shells from Gaza into Israeli territory.
Palestinian militants had intended to use the tunnel, which was dug from underneath a building located 1.5 kilometers away from the security fence, to infiltrate into Israeli territory in order to carry out an attack against Israeli citizens or IDF soldiers, the IDF said.
Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fired five mortar shells into the western Negev Thursday, further testing a cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas.
No one was wounded in the cross-border attacks, which came two days after Hamas accused Israel of killing two of its gunmen in northern Gaza. Israel denied any involvement in the incident.
On Thursday morning, Palestinian militants fired two mortar shells and two at Israel Defense Forces soldiers operating in northern Gaza, two more into Israel, Army Radio reported.
Gunmen later fired at Israeli workmen carrying out engineering work near the Hamas-ruled strip, damaging some of their equipment. IDF troops returned fire.
In the evening, Gaza militants fired another three mortar rounds into Israel.
There have been sporadic Palestinian short-range rocket attacks on Israel since the end of its December-January offensive against Hamas, often carried out by non-Hamas factions. Israel has generally responded with air strikes against infrastructure, causing few casualties.

You will never reason with them, you cant reason with a vicious animal either. Their reasoning is that if they attack Israel everyday then Israel will give them 25% of Israel land. Then they will repeat this attacking, saying that they will not attack again if they are given another 25% of Israel land. They are not trustworthy to stop at just 25%.They have proven that so many times in the past. SO WHY ARE THE WORLD LEADERS listening to their lies? Is it the truth that the world leaders are so scared of muslim extremist, that they figure if they appease the palistinians and give them everything that they ask for, including denying Israel fair treatment, that the Islamic extremist will NOT attack their own countries? If the world leaders do give in to the demands of the palistinian terrorist, then the entire world will forever be in a ISLAMIC PRISON. We will be subject to their muslim Islamic extremist religious ways. They are evil men and we will become their slaves.
When the Israelis fire ahem REAL Mortar shells into the occupied territories they wreak havoc as they are precise and direct hit and kills. When the Palestinians fire their ahem Qassam Rockets into Israel they may make a hole in the ground the size of a Frisbee and most likely hit in the middle of the desert
No casualties.It should state 'no physical casualties. There are always psychological casualties as a result of Hamas terrorist attacks and exacerbations of previous trauma-related disorders.
