Hamas gunman killed in Nablus, Fatah suspected of involvement

Victim, Amar Taher, is 19th person killed during Fatah-Hamas fighting this month; Fatah denies involvement.

By Reuters

Masked Palestinian gunmen killed a Hamas militant in Nablus on Wednesday, Hamas said, in the latest in a string of killings that have triggered fears of civil war.

A power struggle between the Hamas government and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction has sparked fighting this month between gunmen from both sides in which 19 people have been killed.

Hamas said in a statement Amar Taher, 42, was "martyred" in his home town of Nablus.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the shooting, but Fatah has denied involvement.

Within hours, hundreds of Hamas supporters flocked to the morgue where Taher's body was being held, chanting slogans against Fatah.

"Dahlan, you traitor," they shouted, referring to Mohammed Dahlan, a Fatah strongman and former Palestinian official.

Western donor nations suspended funding to the Palestinian Authority, demanding Hamas recognize Israel and renounce violence. Hamas has rejected the demands.

look, the land was not denied to the esau, he was allowed to hunt and travel and kill upon it. The inheritance of goods was to jacob the farmer herdsman as opposed to the hunter gatherer. The lease has been broken at least twice and the sherrif called to evict the jews for non payment of worship. The lease has been renewed one more time, so be careful that there is no further eviction thanx, bill

Why doesn't Israel just refuse to recognize Palestine....period. Just tell all the so-called Palestinians (which is/was/and always will be a lie)to get out of Israel. In other words leave ALL Israeli land, The Land El gave to Abraham, thru Yitzaq, thru Ya'akov to the modern day Israelites. Nowhere in that lineage does one find any so-called Palestinians with any legitimate claim to The Land. Their claim to The Land has always been a lie, just one that the world has widely embraced in order to villify Israel. Find me a Biblical Quote ANYWHERE in the Bible that gives a speck of Israels land to Yassir Arafat and his buddies. Don't waste your time looking, it isn't there! It's way past the time for Israel to stop furthering their false claims, and grow a set of you know whats, and lay claim to all the land promised to them and their forefathers by the One who created all lands. By Israels refusal to take a firm stand they've added credence to the Palestinians lies! WAKEUP Israel!

The fact that fatah denied involvement doesn't change the fact that the murder of the hamasnik was done by pal gunmen Hamas knows better and accuses Mohammed Dahlan, a Fatah strongman and former Palestinian official as traitor . Traitor for what since he is former Palestinian official, then less PA power , but traitor to pal cause , yes the all too well known cause of the greater palestine , not just west bamk and gaza the western embargo has nothing to do with pals infighting , the pals infighting is for PA power control , secular versus religious . Hamas can always smuggle Iranian money the same way as weapons smuggling , that also goes for fatah . Doesn't matter if fatah or hamas or any other pal faction . tunnels are pals tunnels for all purpose against Israel. Embargo or infighting , as always it is easier for the pal cause to blame Israel ect...
