Until Israel takes HER OWN responsibilty in this mess and understands that treating people the way they have treated the Pals always leads to them fighting back.....they will never have peace. Too mnay in israel want a JEWISH state. period. Look at what he Shin Bet is doing. Jewishness before democracy??? A Jewish state ANDde,ocratic state can not be with the radicals leading the movement.BUT a democratic state with equal rights and opportunity forJew and gentile and muslim and secular and etc etc CAN work. If genocide and ethnic cleansing of Israel is admitted as the goal of Hamas, it is necessary to take the severe measures needed to disarm the Pals or relocate them to other countries. USA did put the Indians on reservations; they were in the VERY SAME situation you are dealing with in Israel. Moderates could be helped to move to a better situation than a reservation. Mafia and murderers belong in prison. Israel will not take severe measures because leaders insist on committing crimes against humanity which in end will hurt Israel. The international law is there defining and prosecuting crimes against humanity to help bring the peace. Grinding warfare will hurt the civilians, etc.

Everyone, Israeli and palestinian who truly wants to fight the other to the last drop of blood should be bused to the Roman coliseum, charge admission like days of old, let em fight it out..all monies collected can go to helping those remaining in Israel/Palestine build their country into a land that is peaceful and productive.

Since Israeli Jews aren't going anywhere and have great military power (Semites meaning Arabs and Jews, close relatives whether they like it or not. That power won't bring them security but it will provide for mutually assured destruction if that's what Hamas (or Iran or...) is ever strong enough to bring on. That's the most Hamas can hope to achieve, mutual annihilation.

It would seem there is no vanishing point for the Palestinians. Not only is there a time to ask for that, historically speaking, of other countries, but the arabs as well have to come to that conclusion. At least we know the Hamas part of the Pal Gov will stick by its charter. Peace will be inevitable, but there is always a price.
