A gag order was lifted in a sex scandal that has been taking Israel by storm. Israeli Superstar Eyal Golan was named the singer at the center of the scandal. He is suspected of engaging in sexual acts with minors. As Golan was questioned by Tel Aviv police, it was announced that he is being suspended  from his role on the judges panel in reality talent show "Rising Star," the rights to which were purchased by ABC this week.

The state plans to cease issuing birth certificates to children of foreigners born in Israel, thereby depriving them of any official government document confirming their birth.

The Israeli state plans to evict the residents of the Negev Bedouin village Umm al-Hiran in order to make way for a religious Jewish community. In a last bid to save their village, the Bedouins go before the Supreme Court to preserve the land they've been living on since 1956.

German art collector Cornelius Gurlitt will keep Nazi-era art works that were legally obtained. Those pieces from his collection that were stolen from Jews will be returned to their original owners. 

Police are investigating a company involved in developing West Bank settlements on suspicions of bribery, embezzlement and tax fraud to the tune of over NIS 10 million. Documents obtained by both the police and Haaretz show that for the past five years, the company has been a sinkhole for public funds. 

Two soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces' Golani Brigade were convicted of aggravated assault by a military court in Haifa and sentenced to six months in prison for beating a blindfolded Palestinian man. Military judges ruled the soldiers had harmed the man's body, his dignity and "the IDF's image as a moral army." 

Amal Haniyeh, the seriously ill granddaughter of Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, came to Israel for medical treatment. Despite treatment, Amal returned to Gaza in state of clinical death.

For the first time in the Gaza Strip, a lion, which was smuggled through the tunnels past Israel's blockade, gave birth to two cubs. The Hamas-run zoo named the cubs Fajer and Sejeel, in reference to the offensive between Gaza militants and Israel in 2012.
