I think Adel is for the most part correct. For vast majority of Iranian people the Israel Palestinian dispute is not something that Iranian's should be risking their blood and treasure for. Iran is not a nation that participated in any of the Arab Israeli Wars. Iran is unstoppable by all accounts. The US doesn't have the stomach to wage another war. It is already in adeep deep mess in Iraq and Afghanistan. Even the hawks in the US are not talking of war against Iran. The more warmongers among them are only talking of limited action. Isarel too is a deep mess and not in a mood to mess with Iran... If it was humiliated by Hizbullah, then can it really face up to the consequences of messing with Iran? Bottom line is that Iran will be nuclear in about 24 months... it has already reached a stage when it cannot be stopped. So, the best advice to Olmert and Co. is to get a genuine peace deal with the Palestinians and accept the genuine offer from the Arab states... after all, it could be ironic that it will the Arabs who will ultimately protect Isarel from Iran. Think about it, it does make sense.

Don't count on it! The world simply cannot accept nuclear capability in the hands of Iran's Islamic fundamentalist lunatics - especially with the mad Mullahs and their mouthpiece now calling for Israel's destruction on a daily basis. This does not take into account Iran's willingness to share nuclear technology with Al Quada or any other radicals who will help them achieve their warped goals. Ahmadinejad continues to bait Israel and America in particular. It is hard to tell if he is really trying to inspire an attack upon Iran or if he is simply enjoying the impotence of his opponents. Either way, he seems to be having a great time and is unlikely to stop anytime soon. I suspect that he wants an attack from Israel. This would have a multiple good outcome for him: (1) Ahmadinejad does not have the support that he would like to have from his countrymen. An Israeli attack would unite the country against Israel. (2) An Israeli attack would give Iran an opportunity to attack Israel in return that could not be criticized by the world community. A well executed return attack would make him extremely popular in the mideast. He would have instant "street cred". (3) An Israeli first strike upon Iran would paint Israel as an aggressor and a warmonger with no interest in negotiations. This would have no effect upon the Israels supporters or haters, but could effect others.

Most fights have 2 sides. One side that talks alot of trash and how they are going to kickass. And then there is the other side that wins.

Just one nuclear bomb on Teheran will imediately stop Iran from developing it's own. The Geneva convention doesn't work in all cases. It might work against guerrila attacks, but when such a big and dangerous power promisses to wipe Israel off the map, the threat should be considered and taken much more seriously.

Iranians do not care much about the Palestinian issue, or even the destruction of Israel, they are peace loving people they have respect for all faiths.

I have never heard the anti-semitic or islamist apologists on talk back use the "parity" argument (what's good for Israel is good for Iran) to promote women's rights, Jewish rights, Gay rights, right to equality of religions. In other words, all these things exist in Israel so of course Iran must have them too. It is only in the instruments of death that you seek "equality." This exposes your hypocritical position. NO one believes you in the West and we will have to fight Iran very soon.

The world should just accept that there's nothing that can be done about Iran's march to nuclear power status without bringing the house down on everyone. Bush can't do a thing about it, and without American clearance (which won't be forthcoming), neither can Israel. That leaves only Israel's other supporters in the UN, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands, and I'm not sure what their plans are right now.

Iran has just as much right to nuclear power as any other country in the world, israel did not seek international approval for their nuclear progroms (WMD) why should iran need approval from anyone to seek the (SAME)right to nuclear power??? With the superpowers being as they are and their constant threats of calling other peoples of the world "axis of evil" it would make any country feel as if they too need the WEAPON to protect their people as well. BUT if nuclear weapons is such a big concern for these super powers then so should they ALL distroy all of them around the world and go back to being peace loving countries and stop trying to BULLY all nations to bow/tow to their whims!!!!
