Four-year-old East Jerusalem girl drowns at Dead Sea resort

A four-year-old girl drowned Friday afternoon at the Dead Sea resort of Ein Bokek.

The girl, from East Jerusalem, came to the beach with her family and at some point, her parents noticed something was amiss and she was rushed to the shore.

Paramedics tried to revive the girl, to no avail.

Earlier on Friday, a member of Kibbutz Degania Aleph was found dead in a swimming pool at his house.

The cause of death has not been determined, but rescue personnel said the body showed no signs of violence.
