Thursday marked the 60th anniversary of the United Nations vote in favor of the partition plan of Palestine, allotting separate territories to the country's Jewish and Arab residents.
For the occasion, the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival on Saturday screened the film Etz O Palestine, made in 1962, which features footage of Israel predating November 29th, 1947, when the historic vote took place.
The pictures, of places, events and people, reveal an Israel far removed from that of present day.
