U.S. rabbi faces dissent for slamming Obama

As a black female who bleeds red, white, and blue, I found myself nodding in agreement with the rabbi's assessment of Obama. If I had my way, there would be a flat tax that everyone pays and no one would vote without ID... The United States is in decline, and I, too, would vote for this rabbi or anyone else who is not afraid to speak the truth: Allan West, Ted Cruz, Trey Goudy, et al.

Facts are not well accepted in our current culture of political correctness. The Rabbi's comments, if blunt, are correct.

RabSteven Pruzansky hit the nail on the head and is telling the gospel truth. People wanted Santa Claus and all the give away they could get and that is what you have, it is ashamed that the country has gone to this and come down that far.

Pruzansky's point was the stupidity of Americans, Jews included. I believe the reaction of these members of his congregation proved his point.

So this Rabbi is being critized for telling the truth! Not suprising in a country of freeloaders, liberals, and extreme feminists!!!

This rabbi sounds like a sensible person, I would vote for him

The truth hurts doesn't it ? The rabbi spoke the truth. While others in his congregation were to scared to say or would not admit; by agreeing with him they condemn themselves. Since when is the truth right wing ?

Obama is just a man also. A very scary one to be honest. The guy gives me the Willie's.

This is classic , so someone has a view different then yours in this case the Rabbi ... so now lets silence his thoughts ... even though they are in most cases correct .... In blog posts in the weeks leading up to the elections, Pruzansky referred to Obama as the “affirmative action president” and described the president’s strategy as “pandering to liberal women, Hispanics, blacks, unions, etc.” thats one of the most truthful statements I have heard..... Oh and by the way Jews seems like there's a throng of muslims at your door ready to eat your children... keep on looking the other way .. thats smart .... good luck you'll need it

If Pruzansky dislikes the "American cultural norm of taking offense easily, repeatedly and quickly", he might also want to refrain from the cutural norm common in the right wing of making broad, slanderous, self rightious statements that confirm right wing prejudices rather than offering any critical insight. Aren't rabbis supposed to be critical thinkers? Isn't a seichel a Jewish value? Should someone bother going to shul if they can get the same superfical validation by turning on right wing talk radio?

His comments seem reasonable to me. This is exactly why Israel should be governed by a council of wise rabbis rather than secular politicians who are easily prone to corruption, seduction and narcissicism.
