Where's the first synagogue in the United States? Well, that's a loaded question and depends how you define "first." Do you mean the first congregation ever formed, the first house of worship ever built, the first continuously existing congregation, or the oldest standing house of worship still around today? In other words, many can claim ownership of that title.
