There's hardly an Israeli or a Palestinian who doesn't know the name Zakaria Zubeidi. For Palestinians, especially within Jenin's refugee camp, Zubeidi, 36, was a symbol of persistent, even heroic struggle against the occupation. He was considered the head of Jenin's al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and more than once escaped attempts by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet geared at capturing or harming him....
