How Jews and Arabs respond differently to the same Israeli health basket
Study finds that Jewish heart patients are far more likely to undergo cardiac rehabilitation than Arabs.
Researchers from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Public Health in Jerusalem described a strange phenomenon last summer in a study that examined the willingness of post-heart attack patients to undergo cardiac rehabilitation. An analysis of their findings indicated that Jewish heart patients were 3.5 times more likely to undergo cardiac rehabilitation (61 percent) than were Arab patients (17.2 percent ).
