Free education? Middle school parents required to buy laptops for kids

In recent years a new item has joined the list of payments parents must make to schools, which add up to thousands of shekels a year. In dozens of middle schools around the country, parents are being required to fund - partially or totally - laptops that cost thousands of shekels in programs to computerize classrooms.
