Alongside visiting Diaspora Jewish communities, Landau should have dropped in on Beitar Ilit (pop. 40,000 in 2007 and growing), Modi'in Ilit (40,000+ in 2007 and growing), Immanuel (2,900 in 2007 and growing), and four other Haredi communities in the West Bank -- not including the new Agan Hayalot suburb of Givat Zee'v -- before penning his very odd statement that there are really no Haredim living in the West Bank. I guess the folks dwelling in these closed Haredi communities over the Green Line are virtual Haredim?
thank you
