A Quarter of Israeli Doctors Never Introduce Themselves to Patients, Study Shows

Facing poor results on patient satisfaction survey and looming OECD deadline, Health Ministry allocates NIS 2.4m to training doctors to be nicer.

The Health Ministry is allocating NIS 2.4 million to training sessions intended to teach hospital staff how to improve their bedside manner, a decision prompted in part by OECD regulations requiring member states to begin collecting data as of next year about the level of service that patients receive in each country's hospitals.
