Far-right activist held on suspicion of attacking Palestinians
By Haaretz ServicePolice on Monday detained right-wing activist Itamar Ben-Gvir for questioning on suspicion that he attempted to attack two Palestinian cleaning men, employees of the Waqf, at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
Ben Gvir, who was praying on the Jewish section of the cave, noticed the two, who were accompanied by policemen. The policemen claim that Ben Gvir attacked the cleaning men in an attempt to strike at them.
In another incident on Monday, police detained for questioning a female Kedumim resident on suspicion that she attacked members of the Machsom Watch volunteer group at the Hawara checkpoint near the West Bank city of Nablus.
Earlier on Monday, two Kiryat Arba residents were arrested on suspicion of involvement in attacking two Israeli Bedouins near the settlement two weeks ago.
According to a police investigation, the two, who worked as security guards, attacked the Bedouins, broke the windows of their car and stole their money and radio.
