More than half of contributions to Israeli politicians come from foreign donors

Bibi tried to introduce a bill banning foreign NGOS & governments from trying to buy their way into Israeli politics but the left was up in arms. When Bibi wants to stop foreign NGOS buying their way into politics the left is angry but when it does happen the left is still angry. Whilst the left are playing high & mighty they should also remember that the social justice campaigns are funded by the American socialist New Israel Fund NGO and good of Daphni Leef champion of the little guy actually receives a salary to protest and demonstrate, its her full time job ( paid to protest ).

Looking at the amounts donated, I wonder if the outcomes of your elections would be different without the donations?

Romney made all his money from foreigners. And his foreign bank accounts. And he wants to run for the president of Israel by the way he sucks up to them

think Soros funneled to his campaign through his various agencies? So much for ' transparency'. So much for hope and change. Now we in America are just hoping for a change in November !

Where are MKs Hotovely, Akunis and Kirshenbaum now? It is not a year ago that they were fervently trying to legislate against foreign funding for Human Rights NGOs, including a 45% tax. And now we discover that our dear leader is only 3.2% funded by electors. Tut, tut!

The social justice movement is funded by groups like the American socialist NGO New Israel Fund and others. Its a shame the left were so against Bibi's proposed bill that would have limited any donations that foreign governments or NGOS can donate because these donations are harmful to democracy be it for politicians or the social justice crowd all of them should stand on their own two feet and raise money within Israel.

Would like to know these numbers for the current presidential race and some of the past ones as well...

IN the US we have to suffer the consequences.

If it's legal, why is Ha'aretz making such a fuss over it? If it's bnt legal, then criminal investigations must be instituted against all such politicians.
