Tuesday night's election commercials garnered slightly lower ratings than the broadcasts for the 2003 elections. A total of 495,000 viewers saw the commercials, which were shown on the three channels, compared to 512,000 in 2003. The ratings for the Hebrew election broadcasts were 11.5 percent for Channel 2, followed by Channel 10 with 4.4 percent and Channel 1 with 3.4 percent. For the Arabic broadcast, the ratings were 8 percent for Channel 2, 1.5 percent for Channel 10 and .04 percent for Channel 33, for a total of 194,000 viewers.
