Employees at Eilat's Yoseftal Hospital on Tuesday declared an end to their three day-long strike after Finance Ministry agreed to transfer NIS 11 million to the hospital as a down payment ahead of the promised full sum of NIS 18 million.
The hospital workers agreed to end the strike at the request of MK Daniel Benlulu (Likud) who earlier on Tuesday called on a special meeting of the Knesset Finance Committee on the hospital's financial crisis which threatened to close the hospital.
On Sunday and Monday members of 14 Clalit health maintenance organization (HMO) clinics went on strike in a show of support with the Yoseftal Hospital employees.
