Some 20 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip on Saturday, exploding in Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gan Yavne, and west of Be'er Sheva.

One Israeli was wounded moderately and two lightly as a result of the rocket fire. Several trauma victims were also reported.

The rocket barrage followed an Israel Defense Forces strike on the Gaza Strip which resulted in the deaths of five Islamic Jihad militants.

According to IDF sources, the strike was targeted at the cell responsible for launching a Grad rocket that exploded in Ashdod on Wednesday.
