U.A.E. denies backing use of force against Iran
Assistant minister says earlier comments by envoy appearing to back a military strike were taken out of context.
By The Associated PressA senior UAE official says his country rejects the use of force against Iran over its nuclear program, despite reports that a top diplomat suggested a military strike is an option if sanctions fail.
The UAE's Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Tareq Al-Haidan says the Emirates flatly opposes military action and favors talks to end Iran's nuclear standoff with the West.

His comments were reported on Wednesday by the state news agency WAM.
They follow reports quoting UAE's ambassador to the United States, Youssef al-Otaiba, as saying that the regional upheavals from an attack are preferable to having Tehran develop nuclear weapons.
Al-Haidan says the ambassador's comments were taken out of context, but offered no other clarifications.

You can spend 10 years trying to negotiate a peace treaty which can be broken in 10 days once the rewards are all handed out and it can then lead to another war. The concept of NATO was a an attack against one of us is an attack against us all and we work together to fight back. Israel has the hardware & military knowhow to fight wars although it doesn't have deep pockets. The arabs have plenty of money but they are no experts at winning wars. Why not form a military alliance based on the NATO format Israel can have the American role of leading the coalition if there is a war and the Gulf states will finance it. It would be a deterent not just to Iran but to any other state that has ambitions of attacking any of its members in future. The ldea of land for peace has never worked but war for peace works.
Divide in conquer, ay, good strategy, but wont work
The arabs hate Israel and US much more than Iran. in their culture, Iranians have no history of enmity with israel. It is only about 30 years that pro-arab mollas have got power and 30 years. Now, the Arabs only take care about their own weakness toward US and comply with her,waiting for a day when they become richer and stronger.
The Arab nations know that behind Iran's crocodile tear attachment to the militant Palestinian drive for their State are the jaws of the croc itself surfacing out of the Persian Gulf while patrolling just outside their shores.

You prowl this forum and haven't learned much about Iran yet? The problem is you don't think enough if you feel it's just the Arab nations that use the Palestinians as pawns. Have you ever even been to the middle east that you're so driven to comment on? Your synopsis of events over there state otherwise.

this propagenda is spreading by israel now a day every body knows that
UAE would become part of the new Iranian empire. There is no a single person in the world, inside or outside UAE, who does not truly know this.
We want Israel to attack Iran because we are too craven and cowardly to do it ourselves, but if it does attack we will excoriate it in every international forum and call for sanctions and boycotts of Israel.

AMAZING!!!!!! A) WHAT Nuclear weapon? B) Iran has made no attempts in the last century to take the territory of any other state or entity. Israel on the other hand, HAS ACTUALLY dispossessed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their rightful territories. So, who is the thug?
pakistan has had nukes for years now. it is one of the most unstable countries in the region. we have not all died a horrible death. enough with the fearmongering, and please stop lumping "the arabs" all together. you'll find that the uae is very different from libya is very different from afghanistan.

Then, they are all in uncommon agreement. Look at the Arab League, look at the voting in the UN.
