After all, Sadat only made his ultra-brave trip to Jerusalem to address the Knesset after conceding that he as the leader of Egypt did not want to see further loss of men and materials in futile wars against the Jewish State. Do you want Egypt to progress or regress? They voted democratically for a new government and they got an Islamic demagoguecracy instead, so the Egyptian spring may well bubble up again and this time turn into a future flooding of the Nile over its banks.

Was not theirs(Sinai). Sure it would have changed the landscape in the M.E. but also would have shown the world that a Jewish state was not viable in the M.E. End of experiment.

Obama has increased aid to Israel every year in office, and now look at how they talk about him. Menachim Begin wanted Carter to bow down and do as Israel says. The chutzpah is on his side.

FIRST I HEARD OF IT..ESPECIALY WHEN THE US IS BROKE. BUT HE SEEMS TO GIVER BILLIONS TO EGYT ,JORDAN ,PAKISTAN ET AL.. As for Israel I hardly think she needs the largess from the US.. It would be more prudent if the US looks after its FISCAL problems at home rather than trowing monies around.

America gives 3 billions dollars a year to Israel for military and diplomatic support. ( 8,5 millions dollars a day for military aid each day ) while it gives the Palestinians nothing for military aid. Without the US Israel would not have the military power it has, all paid for by the US. Without

Total U.S aid to Israel is approximately one third of Americas foreign aid budget , even thoug Isreal comprises just 001 percent of the worlds population. There would be no Israel without Americas help.
