Golda wanted to wait for the arabs to fire the first shot so Israel could come out of it looking like the vicitm rather than an aggressor so she ignored their advice and waited for the arabs to strike first. Not only did she refuse to take advice from the military but King Hussain secretly flew to Israel and told Golda that Nasser had asked him to join the coalition but even him she ignored. If Golda had listened to the military and taken a preemptive strike aginst Egypt & Syria history would have remembered her as a hero and great tactician but instead she was criminally negligent and her stupidity and unwillingnes to act cost the lives of alot of Israeli soldier and took the country on a nuclear weapons alert because it looked ike we were going to lose.

Was Zeira punished? NO Was Golda punished? NO Was Dayan punished? NO
