US has not the power to attack Iran, when they wanted to convince their people and the world they spend money and plenty of lies to attack Iraq and sddam and everybody knows that there is a huge huge difference betweeen Iraq and Iran. there is huge difference between Khamanei and saddam. khamenei is more loved by his people and if khamanei say it is a duty to fight against israel then all shia muslims in the world would go out to war and the suprise is that many sunni muslims loved him to. and irans diplomacy is much stronger then iraqs and i would not discuss their military because isral saw a bite of it when they attacked hezbollah it is just a war of word because if war breaks out iranian around the world would attach israelis intreset

And off-course Reuter will be ready with cameras, CNN reporters will wait for airplanes near facilities, US military strategists in studios and T-shirt will be released for the world public on the specific day when Israel will announce that it will attack.

Israel could be entering a conflict in which their cities consisting mostly af appartment blocks will be left vunerable to mass missile attacks which could even include nuclear warheads. I could understand it if a deep underground shelter building program for all cities had been in place to prepare for the new generation of misile warefare but I am not aware of any such program. I hope Iron dome will stop all of the missiles , but I doubt if they will.

unfortunately it looks like there will be war in M/e during the latter part of 2012. The USA will do to Iran what they did to Iraq and Libya - cant they see that ? - then peace will follow while they lick their wounds - Iran should drop their nuke program before it is too late for them. It is surprising that the Obama administration is more concerned with the consequences of an Israeli preemptive strike to destroy the Iranian nuclear facilities than it is with the consequences of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and then using them undeterred. Why is it that the administration tends to dismiss voices who are the most qualified to asses the Iranian mindset – scholars of Islam like Bernard Lewis and Raphael Israel and ex CIA operative Reza Kahlili, all of whom are convinced that Iran cannot be deterred and that the Twelvers would start a nuclear war to trigger the return of the Mahdi. Should not the danger of the doctrine of mutual assured destruction becoming obsolete be front page news instead of being a taboo no mainstream paper ever mentions? This attack would leave thousands of Iranians dead including scores of civilians dead. I call upon the humanitarian people of Israel to stop your government from murdering thousands. And as for the Iranian nuclear scientist, the death of any 32 year old young man is a tragedy - I don't care what his nationality is or who he was. For the benefit of the anti-Israel lobby who unfortunately target this Israeli media free speech site (as well as JP and others) I make a few factual points on the above subject. 1. The Jewish people have been the target of genocide, pogroms, inquisitions , and countless attrocities not only over the millenia, but within the lifetime and memory of many Jews living today. 2. Israel, the Biblical religious homeland of the Jewish people, created , or more accurately recreated in 1948, is the only democratic country in the Middle East where free speech is encouraged . 3. israel is surrounded by hostile Arab countries most of whom do not recognise its right to exist , regard it as 'the enemy' (even Egypt did in all post peace treaty war games), and those neighbours from near and afar , have by irrefutable fact tried to destoy Israel in 1948, 1967 and 1973. 4. If there is only ONE country in the world which actually needs or deserves a nuclear DETERRENT, it is the State of Israel. 5, Iran has made it absolutely clear that Israel must be 'wiped off the map', denies the holocaust, and even states that the 'Zionist Entity's' days are 'numbered' 6. Isreal does not declare that it wishes 'death' upon another sovereign nation. 7. Why does Iran need to pursue nuclear enrichment at the cost of everything else in its economy? Its people have been denied all the benefits of its oil wealth in its pursuit of a nuclear programme which every independent body, nation and expert has asserted is not peaceful. 8. Notwithstanding Iran's oil resrves, instead of using such resources wisely for the benefit of its people, it dedicates itself to supporting a huge weapons programme, funds Hezbollah and other terrorist organisations as its proxies against Israel and as a result marginalises itself from the the vast majotity of the civilised world including most of its Moslem neighbours. 9. Iran has made no secret of its hatred of the USA and Israel, calling them 'Great Satan' and 'Littel Satan' respectively , and its detestation of Israel is so intense that it cannot even refer to Israel by name. 9 Iran is the exponent of 'Jihad' and martrdom. A nuclear armagedom, including the martyrdom of millions of moslems may not particualrly alarm a Moslem mindset which straps explosives around its children and sends them into crowded shopping malls or markets to kill maim and destroy. So if Isreal does have a vast arsenal of nuclear weapons, which it may or may not have , who on earth other than those who want to destroy it, could really blame it? I challenge anyone to make a credible objective argument against any of the above points or in particular the conclusions to be drawn therefrom.

Israel will win if they attack. They will also have the support, if not stated publicly, from USA Eurpoe and other arab states. Be assured Israel will not strike iran without the support of these countries..if theu do then you know they are not acting alone. Selfish Israel. Only thinking about its own and no care for others. Unilateral military action is not the answer but this is a major feature of the Israeli psyche. Morally bankrupt and in breach of International law Israel knows only the iron fist method, which may bring short term benefit but in the long term, will deepen resentment against their colonialist aspirations. Look at the recent history of the Israeli state and look at its standing on the world stage. Say no more.

So, the war will be started by Israel and then continued by the USA! Not a bad idea, but usually wars do not go as planned, particularly if one has to depend on others. Long and short term consequences of the event is quiet unknown!

Israel would prefer a UN sponsored NATO attack against Iran or even a combined NATO-Russia assault. This could be unifying moment. Only with Saudi Arabian assistance could an attack on Iran be successful. This could also be unifying moment where Saudi Arabia and Israel attack Iran together. This may be the key to regional peace.

Iran will inevitably respond to a strike and Israel then will be screaming anti semitic, anti Israel and terrorism. The defence minister offers assuring words such as if everyone stays in it will be less than 500. Do not expect any sympathy when they hit back, Israel is likely to become even more isolated internationally than it already is and remember one other thing as well if Israel does strike and bring an Iranian retaliation, Israel started this.

who has consistently been correct in their assertions of anything Political so I wouldn't start stating what will or won't happen here. One thing is for sure, almost every country, including many Arab countries, agrees that Iran should not acquire Nuclear Weapons.

We do not live in Israel or Iran, however if i were to be living in Israel i would be very worried. I think unless Iran finds a leader then there will be trouble. I would have to stand with Israel as they are just trying to live but all around them don't. Question to all is how would you feel??

Israel must think about themself and stop promoting WAR

NATO still have over 200,000 troops in Afghanistan and still can't hold that country..In fact, they're now suing for peace with the Taliban they're supposed to be fighting..lol.You can't make this up! 15,000 troops and battle ship are just targets that will be wiped out in the first confrontation..Why's Obama putting them in harms way?

sanctions will not work since they have not worked in the past. all those measured to protect the ambassy and deploy the extra troops should be done anyway. iran has murdered too many people, many of them americans. a nuclear iran is not an option. war is a terrifying thing, and starting a war is even more terrifying, but sometimes there is no real choice. when the enemy will not compromise, it must be defeated totally.
