The visit will be Ahmadinejad's first official visit to Lebanon in the five years since he was elected to office.
Lebanese media reported that Ahmadinejad, who is scheduled to arrive in Lebanon on October 13, was expected to tour the southern part of the country and to visit the county's shared border with Israel.
Lebanese media further reported that during his visit, the Iranian president was expected to meet with his Lebanese counterpart, Michel Suleiman, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and senior Hezbollah officials.
Last month, tension between Israel and the Lebanon came to a head when Lebanese soldiers fired at Israeli troops across the border, killing an officer and wounding another. A clash ensued in which two Lebanese soldiers and a journalist were killed.
Ahmadinejad met Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah during a visit to Damascus in February. Hezbollah is an Iranian-backed group which fought a month-long war with Israel in southern Lebanon in 2006.
Earlier this week, the International Atomic Energy Agency revealed in a report that Iran had accelerated its nuclear program and currently possesses a sufficient supply of enriched uranium to make three nuclear devices, assuming it speeds up enrichment to 90 percent.

According to the UN nuclear watchdog, Iran currently has 22 kilograms of uranium enriched at levels of 20 percent, and a total of 2.8 tons of uranium enriched at 3.5 percent. All the uranium is under IAEA supervision and Iran cannot make use of it for military purposes without alerting the international community.

he would visit the p.a. and hamas in Jersulaem and discuss how th pali's figure in on iran's plans for the future? But he's a COWARD without Bravado and would'nt take a chance like that. He's just a puppet for his baba !!! insallah habibi
A nice shoot for a sniper!
Perhaps the IAF can pay them an unannounced visit !
Maybe he is coming to survey an area where he can sponsor building a Nuclear energy facility and challenge the Israelis to bomb it. Since the IDF chickened out from bombing the Iranian facilities despite his repeated challenges. Now he is maybe bringing it closer to them...and once a chicken, forever a chicken.
If Iranians, LDF, Hezballah or anyone else crazy on the Lebanese side of the border does anything funny or tries to cross the border, there will be very fancy funerals in Tehran. Or may be not if ayatollas decide that a little dork does not deserve them.
Just saying...
A good sniper and good-bye Ahmadinejad.
I can't say I really understand the balance of this article. Most of it is in the past tense and then as stocking filler there is the somewhat tired comments about Iran’s supposed nuclear ambitions, does every piece have to end with this? I’m just curious.
Pop his gourd with a 7.62 round!
Iran and Lebanon should work together against hostile nations.
Give peace a *real* chance, kill him.
shouldn't be a tough hit to pull off either, do it, Israel, save the whole world. Again.
His partnership with Hezballah will be so evident that even the lefties will notice it. Therafter, any conflict Hezballah will want to start, will point to its puppeteer in Tehran. Israel will keep calm and cool.
Oh what a chance!
I have total respect for people who have a point to make...even if that point is not the same as mine. But when people take historical fact and twist it into a lie ...I have no time for anything they say. Both Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah are rats and fit this description.
The visit to Lebanon was announced in the Daily Star last month. What is interesting is that then the visit was to happen mid-September, not October.
When is Israel going to strike Iran and take out their nuclear facilities and power grid to stop them from developing a nuclear weapon? The USA refuses to face the Iranian threat so now Israel is alone in the world, as usual. Iran MUST BE STOPPED! Mark Montgomery boboberg@nyc.rr.com
It would be a crying shame if one of the misguided katyoosha missles would hit him in his empty head
He could address the Knesset, pray at the Dome of the Rock and then jump off the east side of Masada!
hold him in captivity until he releases the 2 remaining Americans being held in Iran as political prisoners and takes a tour of Yad Vashem.
maybe his plane will crash?
Please!!!
can we kill this jerk?
Is the full force of the IDF staring him right in the face. And perhaps a billboard that reads: Shalom, you are looking at you're worst nightmare.
What for ? First, it was Egypt's Nasser, then Syria's Assad, then Lybia's Gadhafi, with Arafat always in the background....oh , then Saddam Hussein, and now Ahmadinedjad. What happened to them all ? They all finally shut their mouths one way or another. Ah MAD in the JAR .......soon your turn will come Inchallah.
Ahmadinejad will take any opportunity to provoke warlike response from Israel or the West, much like any taunting bully. IMHO, the time has long since past to take Iran's nuclear ambitions seriously. The United States and Israel should nurture a coalition of the willing to defang Ahmadinejad and mullahs, and eliminate Iran's nuclear aspirations. We have tried carrots. I hate it, but I believe that the time has come to try sticks.
Let us hope he will step on a Hizbollah mine and be blown shy -high.
how gdo we get egpyt and saudi arabia onboard
Happen
And if you're determined to play the theoretical card, you could start by estimating how many nukes they could manufacture if they were to mine all the useful uranium deposits they have. I'm sure that would be a large number.
kill him whatever the consequences
is surveying his private estate and wishes to expand it
Ahmadinejad: "You see that? From here until Eilat, should be all Islami-*headshot*.
how about a welcome fly over a couple F-15's......flying really low.........give the monkey the message..........
can you do me a favor and kill him. But please, with no civilian casualties.
better yet maybe i could throw a folded up picture of him, so he can sign it, and then throw it back? because they say that the price of autographed photos goes up after the person is dead. it would be a guaranteed investment.
With some luck when on the border he might just stand on a landmine.
how nice it would be if he were to walk along the border and pop!, a sniper picked him off but most likely there would be doubles so you would have to go for all of them. The best rifle to use is the Russian Second World one, fine up to almost three kilometres, all conditions being right and the right ammo, so watch out!
Once he is at the borders offer him tea and seeing that he closer to Israeli border they must send him Biscuits and sweet meats from Israeli border. And once he is done with his tea , send him back to Tehran.
all i see in this article is paranoia, fear and the alteration of history. no wonder the israelis as well as north america are brainwashed
My friend you do not see the reality in your safe hideaway. The visit is obviously a provocation by the Iranian leadership who will provide whatever is necessary to Lebanon to provoke Israel.
Maybe President Ahmadinejad can inspect a "work accident" and blow himself up once and for all. It would save the rest of us the trouble to do it for him.
Havent you learned yet! if leaders die or get killed and "Israel" is very well known and an expert in assasinations, more influential and determined leaders will take command and will definatly learn from the mistakes. Lets take Hezbullah, "Israel" assassinated leaders with their families (Wife and kids) when they were in a car, and what did "Israel" get of it, SAYED HASSAN NASRALLA! so you do what you have to do, and the oppsite side will do whatever they have to do! We are here to stay, and trust me we dont lack Leaders in this part of the world. We might seem "Naive" but thats because the USA "your Big Daddy" is taking care of our corrupted so called "Leaders". Even if Najad dies, your so called problem will not go away, on the contrary it will become harder for "you"
Honest to goodness Jeff Northridge. I also loved your response versus Ahmedi. Yes a welcome or him a nice accident blowing himself up into the bargain will do wonders for all concerned
That would be a good time for another Hizbullah weapons cache to suddenly explode. (By the way, what's the outcome of UNIFIL's investigation of the most recent exploding building?)
In your face as rarely ever seen. Grudging admiration comes slowly but surely.
Because your missiles are everywhere in S. Lebanon, once the smoke clears, the new border will be the Litani River. Same fate as Golan. Same reason.
if the smoke never clears above Tel Aviv?
The Iranian president was expected to meet with his Lebanese counterpart, Michel Suleiman, Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and senior Hezbollah officials
That way he will have to look surely and ungrateful for refusing.
Sarcasm.
through a Israeli drone attack....
Zionists can be seen miles away...
.50 cents of LEAD it's worth it, GREAT return on your money.
Actually, it's more like: "Where are the snipers? Let's see if we can get him while he's trimming trees on our side of the border." Not sarcasm. Cynicism.
That would be a shame :-))
IF HE DARES
He better not lean over the fence ...
Why do you have to bring the nuclear "thing" everytime, people are tired of it and sick of it to be honest. Shut your mouths until you join NPT, period.
Is your country a signatory? If so, are you one of the nuclear "haves" or "have nots"?
Right on and well said! IsraHELL has no business telling other countries not to have nukes when it is sitting on 400+ nukes!!! Hypocracy at its best!
the 'thing' is a nuclear bomb...
"Why do you have to bring the nuclear "thing" everytime, people are tired of it and sick of it to be honest. " You "honesty" is amazing: you can speak for the "people" like a prophet.
