Peres: Israel can't make Mideast peace with open eyes, we must forget the past

How can the past be dead when you still have millions of palestinians deprived from even visiting their homes and their homeland ? You can correct this historic injustice (partially atleast) by offering the palestinians real conciliation and peace for all not for Isreal alone. If jews can return to Palestine after 2000 years of abscence, then palestinians should be able to do so after only 63 years.

Creation of Israel was affront not only to Muslim ideology of Dar al Islam,but also to the world antisemitic community that has limited possibility of attacking your people now.They both refuse to live with you,they both want to see you dead.Stop dreaming and fight.

Why should anyone pause to consider what this old man has to say about peace or sex? He clearly has no idea about either. Open your eyes old man and look at what you're getting yourself in to.

The best you can do for your people is keep your eyes wide open and never forget the past, never forget that when the Arabs had all they say they claim now ( prior to '67 ) , they still launched murderous attacks on you. Everyone criticizes peace efforts while avoiding the central question. What is peace to the Palestinians?

Sorry Mr. Peres -you can't ignore the past, because Israel is still continuing with the same policies of dispossession, land grabs, and withholding of democratic rights of the Palestinian people, erasing their culture and history, while using he Bible to justify the taking over of the whole of Eretz Israel, forgetting all the history of the intervening years. Israel holds Remembrance, Holocaust memorials and Independence days every year, while ruling against the Palestinians remembering the Nakba. Even now, the Prawer Law will clear 30,000 Bedouin from their ancestral lands in the Negev, and the Jahalin Bedouin, who were from the same tribe, are being cleared from Khan Al Amr, to make way for the illegal settlements of E1 and Maale Adumim, built on Palestinian land. How then can they forget the history being repeated daily in Israel's illegal actions under international law?
