Palestinians distribute draft resolution on UN status upgrade

"The name Palestine is given to the region spreading from eastern Mediterranean coast to the Jordan Valley to the area covering Galilee Lake in the north and southern Negev Desert. The origin of this word lies in “Plesheth”. This is a name appearing frequently in the Bible and have started being known as “Philistine” in English."

It is strange that Lieberman &Co uses more energy on obstructing the Palestinian initiative to obtain at least a permenent observer status at the UN, rather than to invest in the peace process with the Palestinians.

This resolution will pass with overwhelming support.

It's preferrable that the draft resolution to UN members to recognize Palestine as a nonmember observer state, concurrent to negotiations with neighbouring Israel, in developing a permanent and comprehensive peace settlement that resolves all outstanding core issues, namely the Palestinian refugees, Jerusalem, settlements, 1967 borders with territorial exchanges, security, water and prisoners. This implies that UN recognizes Palestine while actually negotiating the details for the two-states alongside one another, otherwise it's not an accurate resolution to mention the exact borders - it remains tenative because the actual parties have not determined the specifics do to past disruptions.
