Palestinians' cool response to Obama visit reflects their lack of hope for peace deal

There is no desire for peace on the part of Palistinians. Their stated object of "driving the Jews into the sea" and the destruction of the state of Israel has never been in doubt. The European support for Palistinan dominance in the region is little more than a continuation of anti Semitic polcies engerdered in those United States of Europe under Hitler, and his client enclaves in France, Italy, Hungary and all other semi fascist states that have never since the end of WWII fully resolved their animosity towards Jews since they had the audacity to survive and prosper.

The PLO already rejected the 2000 Camp David Peace offer--and now they will get LESS after 12 more years of terrorism.

step aside and let the EU handle this matter, since it is quite clear to everyone, Washington (as shameful as it is) has lost all credibility to be evenhanded in this conflict and could only make matters worse.

Mr. Obama vetoed the UN comdemnation of the Jewish settlements, Mr. Obama vetoed the UN recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state. He will be remembered for having been on the wrong side of history, One would have expected him to diliver some of his "Change We Can Believe In", but he diidn't; so Abbas you are rigth in your sceptisism.!

There is not one day that passes that I do not read about the chaotic state of the Arab / Muslim world. Whether it be a leader, a group , or individuals speaking out or physically hurting someone who does agree with them. They hate each other but save their purile hatred for the Jews and Israelis. In 1947 srael could have been given a 10 sq mile block of the Negev desert and the Arabs would have said no. The only reason the Palestinians are treated the way they are by Israel is because of human nature. If one is constantly on edge because of agression then one does all it can to defend itself and make the going tough on the opponent. That is what and where Israel is about.

What peace deal? How can the Palestinians hope for any kind of peace when the only person, the world's biggest criminal, Netanyahu is in power. Netanyahu does not now, never has and never will want peace and as long as America keeps supporting him and his criminal actions, nothing will change and no peace will ever be achived. Israel's occupation, land theft and building of illegal settlements is the bigfgest lack of hope for peace there can be. It is Israel that does not want peace.

Palestinians' should have a cool response to Obama visit because first of all Obama is not meeting with Abbas. Obama, if he truly wants to get the peace process going, must include meetings not only with Netanyahu but with Abbas as well. Obama should insist on going to the West Bank to see for himself under what conditions the Palestinian people are living under the Israeli occupation. By not meeting with Abbas, Obama can be sure of one thing, not only will the Palestinian people become more anti-America, but the rest fo the Arab world will as well. America can no longer be trusted and for sure should not be a peace broker because of these kinds of actions.

Obama's constant inability to play neutral should have turned anyone off long ago. The PA seems to have NO hopes for peace and independence. The US had no decency to even vote for their bid for statehood. So no surprise they have no faith in Obama or any other American official.

Obama could it win very quickly, if he would only say: From now on I am acting in accordance with international law.
