Palestinian Prisoner Released in Shalit Deal Allegedly Plotted Terror Attack in West Bank

Nablus man confesses to Shin Bet security services that prisoner released in exchange for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit offered to pay him $60,000 to carry out a shooting attack on a West Bank road.

A Palestinian prisoner released to the Gaza Strip in the 2011 exchange for captured Israel Defense Forces soldier Gilad Shalit allegedly planned a terror attack in the West Bank. The attack was to be carried out by a man arrested last month by Israeli security forces, the Shin Bet Security Service said in a statement Wednesday.
