Oren opens AIPAC: Netanyahu has taken risks for peace, Palestinians must too

It is outrageous that an American political event gives a wide open forum to a bunch of war-mongering Israeli politicos.

Regardless of who the PM is, the contortions Israel has gone through over the years to avoid peace are ridiculous. Perhaps the worst example was the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin by a nationalist Settler fanatic and the fact that Israel allows Settlers to celebrate the day he died.

I think AIPAC is the single most responsible organization for not having peace between Israel and Palestine because of its intimidation of the American Politicians who dare to pressure Israel to compromise. Even Obama gave up on mediating between the parties because of AIPAC's influence. If Israel is truly and sincerely wants peace, it must send a message to AIPAC to encourage serious and vibrant debate on the Middle East peace in the US; not shut down the debate as it currently does thinking that it is helping Israel.

All what he did is build more settlements and make the Palestinian lives harder. As Oren said Netanyahu just acknowledged the two state principles...Duh, he is Just 20 years late. So much for his taking risks to peace.

On what planet did you live the last 5 years? "Consistent risks"? "Commitment to freeze settlements"? I am utterly speechless, and so are most who read this I think.
