"No settlements between 1920 to 1947" is wrong. The new Jewish colonies then were settlements, which Arabs objected against (forcefully surpressed by British military and Jewish militant forces). . Jews and Arabs lived together in peace in Palestine.for ages. It was the behaviour of early colonists which created the troubles. They did not want to integrate with the local population, but acted agressively against.

Turkey's Ottomon Empire ruled over all of the Middle East from as far back as the 1500's. Why are you not demanding the land go back to them. They "occupied " the ME for over 400 years. Americans, Canadians, Australians, and New Zealand ( kiwis ) just to name just a few are occupiers.They took away the land from their native populations. Jews have had a presence in the Middle East as natives. You are wrong with your point about violence against the Arab population. The fruit and vegetables exported from the settlements are grown on Palestinian land, using water diverted from Palestinian villages and often grown and harvested with exploited Palestinian labor. Let the Palestinians use their own land, water and labour and then you would have a fair basis for comparison!

When settlements were built,Palestinians were expelled, resources were controlled and preference given to jews,when Israel implemented Israeli Domestic law in the territories. Israel violated the Fourth Geneva Convention and under the rules of occupation the Law of Occupation governs the territories..not Domestic Israeli Law.

Then, Google the provisions of the 4th Geneva Convention, and the date of of Israel's ratification. You might also want to look at the Balfour agreement.

Balfour Agreement became null and void when Israel agreed to Resolution 181 and accepted borders defined by 181.
