They use to throw rocks from Gaza when the re-settlements were there. Now there are no re-settlements in Gaza and they throw katuyasha rockets at the greater tel-aviv and greater Jerualem areas instead. Leaving the re-settlements in Judea and Samaria will only bring constant rocket fire on our civilian population in Israel "proper". Maybe that's why our western "friends" want us to leave our re-settlements in Judea and Samaria?

It would be nice if the core of the problem were wb settlements. Imagining that it is gives someone a focus, however false. Stop settlements and someone will promote the idea that the problem is water usage. Solve that and the problem will be some biblical dilemma. Israelis seem to have a never ending supply of political tricks to keep distorting the basic issue. There is always a medium sized issue that can be studied and solved politically, locally, without really changing Israel's status quo. Israel is at the very extreme end of its shelflife. A huge tragedy is brewing.

And when the conflict is finally resolved if the settlers find themselves on the Palestinian side of the border what you'll have on your hands is a bunch of Jewish Palestinians. Ha ha. Enjoy! Dopes!

No a single promis to the "Palestinians" this way they will not have expectations, Obama is right, there will not be any left wingers in the new coalition no metter how much they try. The time for capitulation has expired. Moving forward with pride and without fear is what our people need most of all, and they will recive.

Nothing Less Will Do. Palestine must be recognized as a STATE -next to Israel- by the ENTIRE WORLD. Obama and Kerry Ought to tell Israeli politician that this is what the U.S. will soon do.

It's evident that the only ability for PM Netanyahu to formulate a moderate (broad) Israeli government representing the pluralism of Israel, would be one in which all parties accept the two-states resolution to the conflict based on the past peace proposals of Israeli governments. The PA is willing to negotiate once there's a settlement freeze in the West Bank. Israel is not necessarily responding to external pressure in doing so, but rather requires to contend with the core issues for its own future security matters and would also respond to the Israeli electorate which voted for moderation and compromise.

Oh, when push comes to shove, the Americans will support Israel whatever it does, or doesn't do, and stop anyone from censuring it in any meaningful way.
