The centrist Labor Party late Tuesday lambasted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to expand construction in East Jerusalem, warning that it threatened Israel's relations with its closest allies and was leading the country into isolation.

That isn't to say they haven't won the reins (in a broad sense ) oh, no they have --and completedly messed things up royally...Just consider the harm the neocons have done and how we are still cleaning up the mess after Bush & Cheney (See the URL below) . And I might should add -- their extremen elements on right who are out sabotage the Left. Yet, I feel for certain they will not win the future (indeed, I feel they will become absolete); and why I urge the left to stay involved and hang in there... Their day will come--especially, in this conflict as they have alienated everyone I know today and can't possibly make it....Dutch The Triumph of the Wrong, Paul Krugman, New York Times.... http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/12/opinion/krugman-triumph-of-the-wrong.html?_r=0

Haaretz is playing election politics. I live in Israel. Most people in Israel consider Labor Center-Left, not Center. Yachimovitz is certainly left-leaning in her economic policies.

Dude Europe doesn't need Israel LOL. We should stop Israeli airplanes from flying into Europe, stop delivering weapons to israel, stop buying weapons from Israel, remove all Israeli West Bank produce from supermarkets and stores. Europe is Israel's largest trading partner. If Israel withholds medicine we should just produce it ourselves. We don't need you, you need us. The world will keep turning with of without Israel. megalomania and delusions of grandeur aren't helping the jewish people

No state here, not now, not in the future, not ever ! Palestinians are out of luck, if they ever had any in the first place ! Abbas' pandering to the UN will yet produce even greater punishment .

Yes keep punishing the Palestinians until the whole world punishes Israël. And wouldn't it be fun if the messiah doesn't show up to save us like he didn't show up all the 109 times jews were expelled from countries and cities over the course of history. Maybe we should work with the world instead of working against it.

At least get your syntax right, you're being paid for it. Israel is not being alienated, you mean Europe is being alienated from Israel. Well... they never were much good to us anyway, apart from Germany and a couple of the smaller more recently independent states.
