Israel has the atomic bomb. Pakistan has it. India has it. Is Iran going to bomb Israel? Destroy the Dome of the Rock? Kill all Palestinians?? I guess its just Netanyahu trying to avoid losing the next elections - at our all expense!!

It is highly unlikely sanctions or diplomacy will stop Iran, either hit them now or your days are counted.

Once again we have an 'anonymous' official opening his/her mouth making accusations that are totally unsurpported by any evidence and the world is expected to simply take their word for it and accept it as gospel? Where's the evidence!!!???

In each case the American people were very much against getting actively involved in a European war. The question facing us today is will an attack on Iran have the potential to explode and suck in allies and others. The American people are very much against getting into another mideast war. Israel does not learn from past mistakes because America cushions them from the consequences. Can America learn from past mistakes? This is the big question.

Russia and China are Iran's closest allies. Both these nations would LOVE to know how their best air defenses would fare against a determined attack by America's best combat aircraft. This may be the perfect time to find out.

Sometimes we hear people comment that American evangelicals support Israel for biblical reasons. In fact readers of the Christian bible will see that Christians and Jews have nothing in common at the end of days. The idea is that the Jews are supposed to convert to Christianity at the end. This is a pretty shakey assumption on which to hang their support of Israel. Christian leaders, ever greedy for money have certainly been bought off and now talk about "Judeo-Christian morality" instead of the Jews being the villains that killed Christ as it was in the past. Israel's actions merit virtually no support in the world and we have seen this. The few exceptions all come with an "asterisk" Nobody of any importance will embrace the idea of starting a major mideast war in order to support Israel's settlement enterprise.

Recently we saw Israel complain about the proposed ban on circumcision in Germany. The next day a number of America congress (mostly Jewish) echoed Israel's complaints. Quite often we see most of the congress support Israel in relatively minor matters. When Israel got into the spat with Turkey however, the American congressmen laid low and kept their mouths shut. Even Israel's most ardent supporters did not condemn Turkey's actions. In fact, American congressmen find it to be in their own self interest to support Israel when they can which may make up the times that they really cannot. In the case of an attack on Iran Israel may find some support among Republicans since it would be the end of Obama but Romney has been backing away from earlier statements he made about attacking Iran. Such a move would be wildly unpopular with the American people no matter who orders the attack. My best advice to Israel is to learn to leave with an idea of a nuclear Iran just as Iran and others learned to live with the idea of a nuclear Israel.

An attack on Iran would strip away Obama's base. Israel would like to force an American attack before the election. They believe that this way, they can force Obama to serve Israel's goals and then discard Obama in the election. This means that we will hear constant threats, scare mongering and saber rattling out of Israel on a daily basis. Of course most of the world tunes out the Israeli complaints but those of us that pay attention will get a laugh or two, just as we do here.

I feel like being sick every time that zealot Netanyahu opens his mouth. I grieve for the lives already lost to his lies, and I mourn for the masses who will die if he is allowed to pursue his aims. I sincerly hope that Iran does acquire nuclear weapons. Not so that they may strike at anyone, for there is no rational reason to believe they would. No, I want them to have them so they may be spared the fate of the Iraqi people, spared the fate that befalls all who dare to stand against the tyranny of the capitalist agenda.
