What I don't get is what you are offering Iran in order to induce it to agree to that proposition. Because it looks very much like the P5+1 aren't offering anything, just threatening Iran with an "agree, or else". Why would Iran agree to that? Would Netanyahu? Would anyone?

Why would Iran agree, Johnboy ? Precicely because of the "else". The sanctions hopefully be enough but the threat of force must be real

to remove any illusions that Iran will never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. Contrary to your assertion that the West in not offering anything to Iran in exchange Iran can have sacntions removed and relations normalized as it was with Libya.

Not true at all. If Israel had wanted a war, they would have attacked by now, instead of waiting for the US and the world coalition. NOBODY wants a nuclear-armed Iran. Except Iran.

America in this case is an unwilling accomplice being blackmailed and dragged by Israel to participate in a costly war that US tax payers are not ready for. So if ou want to find out what someone is smoking that makes him illusionary, then ask Israel.

accept their right to enrichment and easing sanction. In reality the US has given much to Israel. Israel is doing her best efforts to prevent any reconciliation and destroy Iranian economy, military and infrastructure. Of course the result is a mutual destruction, as Iran will answer any failure by further arming of Hezbollah and Hamas

01 0 0there are only 3 points that
- By Demas Herzog
- 28 May 2012
- 09:27AM
as Netanyahu & Barak said, there are only 3 points that MUST be implemented to make sure Iran cannot develop a nuke in future: 1. Stop all levels of Uranium enrichment immediately 2. Dismantle Fordow forthwith 3. Hand over all stocks of 20% enriched Uranium Unless Iran agrees to implement all of the above in written agreement within a given time-frame, Israel should consider the so called "P5+1 deal" failed and reserve the right to take action on its own.

Iran's right to enrich
- By humbye
- 28 May 2012
- 00:24PM
Iran has signed the NPT, thus it has the inalienable right to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes. No one has been able to conclude that Iran has diverted ANY uranium for military purposes. If Israel attacks pre-emptively, it will be considered the greatest crime in International Law: Aggressive War. Should Israel attack Iran, the international community should respond by completely destroying any and all of Israel's military capabilities, and force it to pay just reparations to any damage done to Iran. Furthermore, the Israeli leaders who ordered the attack should be tried as war criminals at The Hague.
