Israeli ambassadors around the world were instructed to deliver a message to the presidents, prime ministers and foreign ministers of the countries in which they serve, stating Israel will consider partial or full cancellation of the Oslo Accords if the United Nations General Assembly adopts the resolution to upgrade the status of Palestine to that of a non-member observer state in the organization.

Lieberman will be doing the Palestinians the biggest favor ever if he annuls Oslo. For one thing, Israel will have the responsibility to administer the land including all services. For another it will shift dispute from that over terriotory to one over human rights and political rights and it will be a giant step towards a one state solution.

This part is irrelevant. Everything that takes place in the West Bank + East Jerusalem would fall under the jurisdiction of the ICC. The only way for the ICC NOT to have a jurisdiction is for Israel not to commit war crimes in the occupied territory. But it is too late for that.

The constant violations of OSLO by the PLO/PA are well documented. Why Israel has not nullified OSLO officially sooner is a mystery. The days of the Kotel tunnel massacre marked the end of OSLO. Since OSLO terrorism grew and grew, and peace shrunk and shrunk. The writing is on the wall. Arch terrorist Arafat's body will be exhumed. They will claim he was murdered and the Arab wave of terror will begin again.

Israel is not a member of the International Criminal Court. In order to submit the charges it would have to join. But that is a two edged sword because if it did join it would be subject to its findings if charges were submitted against them. I therefore submit that Israel will never join.

Palestinians are the only case in the world where refugee status passes through generations and the only case where people can be both citizens and refugees(like in Jordan). in the middle of th 20th centuary the world was full of refugees, non of them exist today, they all got a new home. the only exception is ..... Palestinans. and why ? because the right of return is the ultimate weapon to destroy Israel. Peace will never have chance until the Palestinians will drop the "right of return" and all the refugees will become citizens of the countries they are in (Syria,Lebanon,Jordan & Palestine). So having a state called "Palestine" is the key to end they endless refugee status.
After all, Areas A, B and C are creations of Oslo i.e. they have no other meaning outside those accords. So if Israel annuls Oslo then those (artificial) demarcations no longer have any meaning. Israel has been granted a home called a country in 1948. Palestine was denied the home in 1948. Today is 2012. It is 64 years of denial. Since the Israeli govenment has been denying Palestine a home; what is the view of the Israeli people. Should the granting of a home for Palestine be part of the election debate? Since the Israeli people will have to bear the consequences on the decision taken by the Israeli government. The Israeli should decide whether Palestinians deserved to have a home called Palestine.

Next, I would stop building settlements. I have no clue wy we build them, and if we should have ever built settlements they should have been built for Israeli Arabs. The only place we should have the right build settlements for Jews is around Jerusalem. I don't understand why Israel should renounce the Oslo accords. Aren't they the accords that keep the PA pacified? Aren't they obligated to keep the peace? Why should we stop giving them taxes we collected for them. It is theirs give it to them. It is the Palestinians who do NOT recognize Israel and there are no refugees any more after several generation, their low standard of living is due to the failing support of their Arab Brothers. Actually every Arab country will be happy to get rid of them and send them back to WB or Gaza.

Less than 3% of Israel's budget depends on the US. And also this money is used for arms we buy from US. So your tax money goes to provide jobs in the US arms industry. The Oslo accords had lots of accomplishments, and regardless of all things they're non-bounding, it's not a legal thing it's just an agreement. But anyway, Israel has kept many provisions of Oslo. For example: Withdrawal from Gaza Recognition of PLO Instituting Palestinian Elections for the PA Allowance of Palestinians to form other political and civic institutions and other provisions to allow for limited self rule. Oslo was never designed to create a permanent peace or a two state situation. It was designed to help transition Palestinians into a state and if it weren't for Oslo they wouldn't have anyone to send to the UN in the first place! All the things that came out of Oslo, the successes and failures, occurred years ago, and not much more can come from it. "Annulling the Oslo Accords" is an absurd threat by Israel because that's like America saying it will get rid of the Declaration of Independance- it's a historical document, and the only way to annul Oslo is to get in a time machine and prevent Israel from withdrawing from Gaza and from recognizing the Palestinian Authority! That's not going to happen.

It will never be recognized .... Jerusalem was and will for ever be our capital. Eretz Israel will be restored to the people of Israel. All of it. And for Ever." (Iron Wall p. 25) Your claim that Israel was offering land is pure hasbara.

Israel wants to maintain status quo and even better more settlements. She cannot even imagine that living under occupation is not normal and that it is inhumane. A majority of countries will vote for the Palestinians at the UN. This will be a public and international rebuke of Israel with a huge audience. Israel is providing elementry things like electricity to WB & Gaza. once they are a state, Israel can declare them an enemy state and stop providing them anything. Everything the last four years has been done to avoid the required negotiations subsequent to the previous Israeli government's peace consultations with the PA. It's always another stressful circumstance to contend with besides the obvious core issues which will resolve the conflict. The Oslo Agreement has become almost irrelevant because all the settlements Israel has built countered the aim of Oslo, a staged peace process which never materialized to its final destination.
Did you notice where he says, "Under no circumstances can we harm the Palestinian civilian population." Then he prods an unnamed spokesman to admit that it is a complicated situation. "Almost any step we take in response to the initiative in the United Nations will also harm the Palestinian populace and also harm Israel's interests," said the official. Everything will harm BOTH the Palestinians and the Israelis. Why doesn’t he simply say, We are already one state; we should not cut our nose to spite our face.
Steinitz is advocating an even stronger policy against the Palestinians in the event they have the temerity to approach the ICC. It will be “a declaration of war” and he wants to declare war in return. Yes, go ahead, do that, idiot. Just when Palestine is able to retaliate.

Israeli politicians won’t have to give up their vacations in Europe and Turkey. It will be a balance of terror.
