Israel seeks court permission to expand 40 West Bank settlements

How many ways can Israel find to sugar coat theft?

Of course it's in violation of International Law, but then Israel has its own version that accommodates state sponsored land theft.

This has been going on unabated for years and Netanyahu is actually very clear about what his intentions are. I don't know why Obama even bothers to give him the time of day. Of course, there is th US election, but I have faith in US Jewish voters to do the right thing and vote for their country's interests, not the bent version of reality presented by Netanyahu. The best thing Israel can do to secure its future, is to end the occupation and adjust its self image to that of a small, peaceful, non-nuclear, friendly country in its region and a good neighbor to all. And, yes, israel was built for a population who suffered greatly many miles from the middle east it now occupies, but the land it was given came not from God from an embarrassed world that felt the need for a Jewish homeland.

If they are built on military land, that land is a legitimate military target.
