Israel's Defense Ministry Plans to Raise IDF Soldiers' Wages

According to Israel's Defense Ministry data, at present NIS 800 million are allocated to IDF soldiers' wages, and proposed increase will cost an additional NIS 170 million.

Defense Ministry officials have drafted a plan to increase the wages of IDF soldiers by 21 percent, in correspondence to the rise of the prices index. Since the last pay increase in 2003, monthly pay of combat soldiers is NIS 750 per month, compared to non-combat soldiers who receive NIS 350.
