Israel rejects U.S.-backed Arab plan for conference on nuclear-free Mideast

Middle East should be Nuke Free Zone Israel introduced nuclear weapons to the Middle East in 1956. Israel is no position to lecture Iran or the rest of the world about nuclear proliferation. Indeed, If Israel, which occupies neighbors' land in violation of international law, can have nukes, why can't Iran? Israel introduced the law of the jungle; let us have the rule of the jungle. Period

What a fiasco, this country cries that other countries should not have Atomic weapons yet itself has dangerious weapens and refuses to be part of a seapce area becuse it does not want peace with anybody, it wants constent conflict so that it could keep killing people and keeping capturing other peoples houses and properties.

Our opposition to a conference on a nuke-free mideast is grist in the iranian mill. if israel has nukes (according to foreign sources LOL), they say, why can't we?

the whole world subjected to the the observance of laws. israel from a separate, immune angle free to launch accuses and military attacks against iran, agains syria, against iraq, against lebanon, against gaza, against the oppressed palestinians, against world citizens. israel is a terrorist state pretending, demanding the freedom to terrorise, to impose, to destroy, to oppress, to strangle, to kill. can these kinds of injustices be accepted?

i hate to say it, but it seems that Obama is hell bent on seeing Israel destroyed.

Israel might have to remove her alleged nuclear arsenal, then all Arab states would start producing them. Best leave the stus quo as is, with Iran hardly a threat to Israel, only to the rest of the world. Let the rest of the world figure this out and outlaw Islam.

I support and pray for you often as do many American citizens and many of us (to include myself) serving in the US military. I strongly recommend you take the initiative to secure your borders and defend your people because our gutless president will not do so. I plan to vote for representatives who will honor friendship with you, but I am not certain even Mitt Romney can be trusted. All world leaders desire to split your country up, even though nobody would benefit other than those who wish Israel was annihilated. DO NOT TRUST PRESIDENT OBAMA, HIS STAFF OR HIS ADMINISTRATION. But besides a strong defense force, Israel should start to negotiate seriously with the Palestinians. Bibi's policy of postponement cannot go on forever, in fact it actually makes the ultimate confrontation worse. Threats from all sides will never yield peace for anyone.

Its absolute nonesense this conference. If you want to have a conference of this nature, lets it be for a WORLD FREE OF NUKES - PERIOD. All countries participate & USA sets the example by dismantling all its nukes.

Poor Israel---she feels coerced to save herself from herself. There is no way down the pike Israel will be able to maintain military hegemony over her Arab and Persian neighbors. As long as she insists on being the sole possessor of nuclear weapons she will incite the development of similar WMDs in the neighborhood. There is a lesson the Catholic experience can teach Israel---the so-called Jewish state. The Catholic state is limited to about 100 acres in Rome, Italy. Some wise persons have suggested that Israel and the Arabs can establish similar religious states in Jerusalem thereby separating religion in a secular bi-national state composed of a plurality of cultures with freedom and justice for all.

Just wondering why the U.S. and NATO rejected the Rapacki Plan that the Warsaw Pact proposed for a Nuclear Free Europe.
